Course descripton

Tired of hearing questions like: "How much time will it take?", "How much money will it cost?", "Why does it take so long?", "How much MORE time you need to complete?" ?

Uncover in one single day necessary Agile metrics, how to visualize them, and the power of Monte Carlo probabilistic forecasting and how they can help you to build your schedule and budget without having to spend the valuable team members time and estimate whole backlog again and again. This interactive advanced workshop includes various Monte Carlo models and exercises to obtain deep understanding how to produce reliable schedule and costs forecasts in different phases of your project.
We will also study how to collect, visualize and interpret Agile metrics and supporting charts like Cumulative Flow Diagram, Scatter plot, Histogram to access the reliability, precision and accuracy of the Monte Carlo forecasts, understand associated risks, and, finally, where to focus the overall process improvement activities.

You will leave the training with a set of Excel Monte Carlo forecasting templates that you can start using the next day.

Note that the participants are expected (but not required) to have the basic knowledge of Agile and Lean concepts and have some practical experience in Scrum or Lean Kanban. Therefore it's recommended to complete following trainings before attending this course: Kanban System Design (KMP I), Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP), Scrum Master Foundations, or Scrum Product Owner Foundations.
