This policy describes how Leadershipping and the group of services and lines of business under the Leadershipping, including

use cookies, and collect and use personal data obtained from you when you visit our websites, and about various marketing communications such as email newsletters. We strive to tailor communications based on this data, so that we can offer you the most relevant and useful information.

You acknowledge and agree that your personal data may be processed in accordance with this policy. Without this consent, we will be unable to provide you with certain marketing communications, such as sending you news, updates or any offers.

Our Privacy Policy is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from May 2018. We are a Data Controller in respect of any personal data we collect about you, and we are a Joint Data Controller with the Lean Kanban Inc. to which we submit your personal data as Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) for issuance of Lean Kanban University (LKU) class certificates and credentials. We collect and process the following information about you; this is for the purposes explained in the section “How we use your personal data”:

Information you give to us

May include name, username, email address (work and/or personal), postal address, telephone number(s), job title, billing information, company details, professional credentials, and any interests, preferences, photos taken during the class (may include embedded location data (EXIF GPS)), and answers you give us when:



Information we provide to Lean Kanban Inc. in case you participate in a LKU accredited class

Name, email address (work and/or personal), plus the class title, class dates, and class locations of Lean Kanban University (LKU) classes you completed. This is information that you provided when you signed up to take LKU certified Kanban training classes. Leadershipping gets student consent to submit this information to Lean Kanban Inc. for the purposes of issuing class certificates and credentials to you.

If you do not give consent to the Leadershipping to submit this personal data to Lean Kanban Inc., you will still be counted (anonymously) as a student of the class but no LKU certificate, credential, or other verification will be provided to you. Leadershipping may require consent as a condition of participation in the LKU certified Kanban class.

Information collected by third parties

In case of LKU accredited course, we share the your personal information with Lean Kanban Inc. as described in “Information we provide to Lean Kanban Inc. in case you participate in a LKU accredited class”.

Lean Lanban Inc. is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. The Privacy Shield is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the US to ensure compliance with European privacy standards in the United States. This website uses Google Analytics and Google Adwords, a web analytics services, operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses “cookies”. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising. You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. Leadershipping uses the services of MailChimp to send newsletters. This service is provided by Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. When you provide your email address to subscribe to our newsletter, it will be stored on MailChimp servers in the USA.

MailChimp is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. For more details, see the MailChimp privacy policy at https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

We use MailChimp to analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent by MailChimp, a file Included in the email (called a web beacon) connects to MailChimp’s servers in the United States. This allows us to determine if a newsletter message has been opened and which links you click on. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to a specific recipient. It is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of our newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to your interests.

If you do not want your usage of the newsletter to be analyzed by MailChimp, you will have to unsubscribe from the newsletter by using a unsubscribe link in every newsletter we send or by sending e-mail to privacy@Leadershipping.net.

Data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. You may revoke your consent at any time by unsubscribing to the newsletter. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when said data will be deleted from our servers and those of MailChimp. Data we have stored for other purposes remains unaffected.

However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your personal data.

Your personal information is not published anywhere on Leadershipping web site and is blocked from pick up by search engines. However, Leadershipping may post photos taken during the class on our web site or blog. In case of a photo publication, we do not associate the people on the photo with any personal information that you provided to us.



  1. Third party websites, Social Media networks, Advertising

Our websites and emails may contain links of contain embedded third-party content or services (e.g. blogs, videos, images, articles, etc.) that are not affiliated with, controlled or managed by us (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter). Embedded content from other services behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website and these services and links may also include social networking features (such as the Facebook “Like” button and widgets, “Share” buttons, and other interactive mini-programs).

These services may collect personal information, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Additionally, some of our training courses offered through Leadershipping may be run by partners or affiliated trainers with whom we are collaborating. For example, Leadershipping may run a class that is organized and/or taught by an Accredited Kanban Trainer not directly employed by us. They will need your personal data so that you can be enrolled in the training and in any certification processes available for that training course such as Lean Kanban University certification. We will share only relevant information. This will normally include your name, email address and a phone number in case of emergency. If we need to share any extra information, for example, a correspondence address for training materials to be posted to you, a member of the Leadershipping staff will contact you prior to the data share to verify you are happy for us to share this information.

We partner with third party networks such as Google AdWords to manage our advertising and may serve you ads on other websites based on your interests. You can opt out of seeing Leadershipping ads on those specific websites.

We do not transfer your personal information internationally, except the cases described in “Information collected by third parties”.

We never sell your personal information to third parties. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We secure the personal information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment. When sensitive personal information, such as a credit card number and/or geo-location data, is collected on our websites and/or transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Data compiled in reports is anonymized.

We store and process your data on third party services including hosting services, file storage, databases and other services not run by Leadershipping. We have verified that all of the third-party Data Processor services we use to store your data are GDRP-compliant.

To bring you our services, we operate globally. Where the laws of your country allow you to do so, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your data in the United States and any other country where we operate. In some of the countries to which we transfer personal data, the privacy and data protection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those of your country. When we transfer personal data outside of the European Union or EFTA States, we ensure an adequate level of protection for the rights of data subjects based on the adequacy of the receiving country’s data protection laws.

We retain Personal Information that you provide us as long as we consider it potentially useful in contacting you about the products, services or offers you have expressed an interest in, or as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements, and then we securely delete the information. Your personal data will generally be stored for up to 5 years. We may, however, keep your personal data for longer than 5 years if we need it to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, the law requires us to maintain it for a longer period or you have not withdrawn your consent. We will delete this information from the servers at an earlier date if you request that, as described in “Reviewing, Correcting and Removing Your Personal Information”.

Please note that you cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails relating to a training course you have purchased, a specific inquiry you have made with us, or an offer that you signed up for (i.e. download an ebook).
